How much will my shipping & handling costs be?

Your freight costs are charged by "Zone", and reflect a percentage of your order size. "Zones" are determined by the United Parcel Service, based on shipping from our warehouse in Chatsworth, CA. (Sorry folks, no matter who you ship with, it costs more to ship from California to the East coast than to the Mid-West--- but you knew that already, right?) Identify the zone you're shipping to by referring to the Map or by finding the first three numbers of the zip code on the Zip Code Chart. Select a carrier and identify your zone on the Freight Chart. Directly across from your zone number, find your Flat Freight Rate. Calculate the Flat Freight Rate percentage of your order's total dollar amount to find your total shipping charges. No guessing!

However, right now for promotional purposes we are providing FREE GROUND SHIPPING on any order totaling $50.00 or more.

Why do I have to pay such high shipping prices for such a small order?

All shipping companies, including UPS, favor larger orders. In other words, a small order costs relatively more to ship than a big order. Our "Freight Chart" rates mirror actual rates; therefore, orders under $50.00 utilizing UPS will be charged a flat $9.00 for shipping, reflecting the average actual shipping costs for orders under $50.00. No matter which carrier you choose, any order under $50.00 will be charged a flat freight fee.

Why are there higher shipping rates for the different zones?

All shipping companies shipping via ground service charge more the farther they have to go.  Expenses such as gas, labor, and so forth add up as the miles add up.  Since all of your shipments originate in California, shipments to the East Coast cost more than shipments to the Midwest, which in turn cost more than shipments to the West Coast.

Why are there separate freight charges for jewelry vs. merchandise?

This is done to save you money!  Jewelry items are generally more expensive, and since freight is determined by a percentage of your total dollar order, in the case of jewelry, you’d be paying a lot to ship a relatively small and lightweight item.  So, we consider jewelry separately, and charge a reduced shipping amount to pass you the savings and more accurately reflect the shipping cost.

How long before I receive my order?

GLEEWARES.COM processes and ships orders within 1 to 2 business days of receipt. All orders are shipped via UPS (estimated time for delivery is 7-10 days), unless an alternate shipping method is specified. If an alternate method is chosen, delivery time will depend upon the type of shipping service you've specified and your location.

Fine jewelry orders (14K Gold) are handled differently than regular merchandise and can take 3-4 weeks to fill before shipping. Orders for special ring sizes are no longer available.

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

No we don't, because UPS won’t ship to PO Boxes. 

How come DHL is the same percentage to all zones?  You said the farther I ship, the more it costs!

The farther you ship BY GROUND, the more it costs.  Some air carriers, such as DHL, do not break their shipping into zones.  However, shipping via air is extremely costly, and we recommend you avoid it whenever possible unless absolutely necessary.

Why are Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam paying higher rates?

Members in these areas have always paid higher rates, because these areas are more costly to ship to.  

I received a package. Upon examination I found a broken ceramic vase. Should I place a claim with the carrier or return it to GLEEWARES.COM?

What procedure do I follow if I place a claim for a lost shipment and it arrives soon after?

Please notify GLEEWARES.COM immediately so we can close our files without continuing unneccessary expenses for GLEEWARES.COM and the carrier.

My order has been lost. I need it now. Can't you just send a duplicate?

UPS, Parcel Post, and trucking firms will not accept any responsibility for hardships caused by lost shipments. We regret that we cannot assist you in this manner. We suggest you place and pay for a duplicate order. When the carrier validates your claim, we will credit your account or send a refund check at your request.

I received a watch that doesn't work. I bought it 3 weeks ago and didn't realize it didn't work properly. What's the procedure on this?

Any watch received in a defective condition that doesn't show signs of wear, which is returned to GLEEWARES.COM within 30 days of purchase date in its original display box, can be returned to GLEEWARES.COM for credit or replacement. A Return Authorization Form must be used as no merchandise can be returned to GLEEWARES.COM without prior consent from GLEEWARES.COM.

I wore the defective watch and it does show signs of wear. Won't you repair it?

Yes. Any defective watch purchased from GLEEWARES.COM that shows signs of wear will be repaired free of charge, providing it was purchased within the previous 30 days. Proof of date and purchase (your invoice) must be included, as well as a note saying the watch is defective, with a brief explanation if necessary.

What if the watch was purchased longer than 30 days previously?

Any watch purchased more than 30 days previously which has not been worn, must be accompanied by the service fee and the Guarantee Certificate which is included with each watch.
